Traveling Sterilization/Records Tech

Smile Magic of Lewisville/Garland is seeking to hire a full-time dental sterilization/records technician to join our dedicated, hardworking team, Monday through Thursday. This is an entry-level position, and although some dental experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right person.

Job Type: Full-time Pay rate: based on experience ($12.00 to $14.00 per hour)

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Sterilizing instruments
• Setting up dental instruments for procedures
• Cleaning autoclave
• Clean impression trays
• Clean the sink
• Get the trash out before lunch and at the end of the day
• Keep chairside properly set up
• Assist the lead assistant with inventory
• Maintain a neat and professional environment in the treatment and sterilization areas
• Take pano, ceph, and pictures
• Take impressions
• Custom-made Essix retainers

Physical demands:

The nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with patients, their parents, and staff. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time; able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and be able to twist, turn, bend and stoop.

Education requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• RDA certification
• CPR
