About this role: Community Dental Partners is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist with dental experience to join our amazing Learning and Development Team. The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the creation, development, and administration of clinical employee training programs to meet specific business needs for new and existing team members. This position would serve as a clinical SME (subject matter expert) within the learning and development team and would be responsible for designing content for training courses and materials for multiple dental practices across the DFW Metroplex. This position would work closely with the Instructional Designer and Graphics Specialist to plan, develop, implement, and monitor customized learning solutions for dental practices across the metroplex. This position may require traveling occasionally to local dental practices to provide in-person training and support.

This position requires previous experience either working in a dental practice, creating training programs for dental practice employees, or extensive knowledge of dental practice operations. The Learning and Development Specialist (Clinical SME) is accountable for identifying skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary for practice employees to perform their duties successfully. The person who fills this position must be a critical thinker, a self-starter, and can work within a geographically dispersed matrixed organization.

Job Responsibilities: (Add Job Duties below)

  • Assist in the creation and development of various learning programs and training experiences, to help CDP’s clinical personnel develop the capabilities and knowledge needed to provide excellent patient experiences and dental care.
  • Participate in or lead learning project teams to build positive, collaborative partnerships among business stakeholders, additional SMEs, and clinical staff.
  • Observe, Identify, research, conduct task and data analysis, and gap analysis to identify skill gaps and provide recommended solutions for closing these gaps.
  • Serve as the primary contact between dental practice leadership and L&D.
  • Conduct interviews with dental practice personnel and ask thought provoking questions as needed to obtain important information through each phase of the training development process.
  • Provide consultation support to Instructional Designer, e-Learning Content Specialist, and Graphic Designer to create engaging and innovative learning experiences tailored to support a dental office work setting.
  • Be able to meet with outside vendors, organizations, business leaders, employees, mediators and other assigned partners.
  • Create training for all staff that effectively portray the culture and branding of CDP.
  • Develop unique training programs to fulfill practice specific needs to maintain and/or improve job skills.
  • Present training and development programs that are engaging and effective using various forms and formats that include group discussions, lecture, simulations, videos and testing.
  • Consult with leadership, compliance and legal to make sure training is within the corporate structure.
  • Develop a schedule to assess and deliver training needs.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys and general feedback.
  • Create, conduct and manage training impact surveys.
  • Conceptualize and improve training materials based on dental practice KPI’s and research.
  • Track and compile employee learning and growth data to determine additional training needs to support CDP’s growth and vision.
  • Be able to evaluate training impact and success based on dental practice KPI’s.
  • Asses, develop and manage various learning modules through a Learning Management System (LMS).

Basic Qualifications: (Add basic qualifications below)

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Must have at least two years of combined experience in training, leading, and coaching others.
  • May have an equivalent experience to substitute for the education requirement.
  • 1-3 years experience either working in a dental practice, creating training programs for dental practice employees, or extensive knowledge of dental practice operations.
  • Preferred consulting or related experience.

Monday- Friday work schedule

Location based on preference - option to work 100% on site ( CDP Corporate Support Center, Denton, TX ) or Hybrid (onsite and virtual when needed).

Some travel may be required.
