About this role: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position builds partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Consults with line management and provides HR guidance as necessary.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics with the HR department to develop solutions, policies, and programs.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Organizes conducts and analyzes investigations in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements reduces legal risk and maintains extensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day employee management. Partners with the legal department where applicable and necessary.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Maintains close relationships with management and employees to improve workplace relationships, increase morale, and maintain productivity.
  • Interprets and provides guidance on HR policies.
  • Partners with management in managing employee life-cycle events including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations of employment
  • Provides guidance and input for reorganizing business units, planning workforces, and succession planning.
  • Identification of current and future competency needs and collaboration with L&D on training requirements for business units and individuals.
  • Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure their success. Maintains follow-up in order to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
